Carl Michaels is usually working on three different levels of art at the same time, as a musician, composer, and author.
Naturally, there are cross links between these levels; sometimes his music inspires new ideas for writing, while other times his written creations suggest ideas for musical composi tions. This process is usually unplanned, but rather these things just seem to naturally occur. For instance, while his song lyrics and their music are in themselves an expression of artistic beauty, they often inspire visions and fantasies that go beyond the songs.
